In the early 1970s, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre was released in the US, which – much like today – was contending with a tense political climate and a disaffected youth. The film would go on to revolutionise the horror genre. Chain Reactions (p. 25), which has its Swiss premiere at FIFF, reveals the craft and artistry behind this seminal work.
