Forest Whitaker plays the titular Ghost Dog, a hit- man from Jersey City, just across the river from New York. He lives by the rules of the Hagakure, the samurai code of honour from medieval Japan. Featuring a soundtrack by RZA from the Wu-Tang Clan, this is a Hip-hop film, but served up in Jarmusch’s inimitable deadpan, poetic style.
