Opio sings and laughs to calm his fears as he enters the Perkoa gold mine in his native Burkina Faso for the first time. The teenager would love to go to school, but his father cannot afford the fees. So, Opio labours tirelessly in the mines to earn enough money to realise his dream. Si tu es un homme is more than a documentary; it is a lesson in courage.
