At some time in the future, a hired guide, the eponymous Stalker, offers to take his clients to the 'zone', a mysterious and creepy wasteland. Rumour has it that anyone who manages to slip past the guards will find a room where their wishes will be granted. A seminal film which won the Prix du jury œcuménique at Cannes in 1979.
