The sky above a factory town is clouded in smoke. A little chimney sweep, with his friend Poupelle who is literally a pile of trash, wants to prove to the townspeople that stars exist. In a world that sees differences as anomalies and seeks to blot them out, this Japanese anime is an ode to the importance of following your dreams.
